~ Mark B. Hancey ~ founding member and principal of Hancey Law Offices ~

As an introduction, my name is Mark B. Hancey. I grew up in Providence, Utah, went away to school, and had the opportunity to come home and practice law. I established Hancey Law Offices in 1996 to captain my own ship–one of the best choices of my life.

As long as I can remember, I was going to be an attorney. I love to build things with words. Whether I am framing a contract, consulting a client or advocating in court; words (both written and spoken) are the tools of my trade.

I have set out a summary of my training and experience below. Perhaps a more helpful insight into my experience can found in the words of my clients. As such, I have included a few client testimonials for your review. My clients are my most valuable references. If you want to talk to some of my clients let me know.

I have a beautiful wife of 15 years (my best choice in life) and we have four wonderful children. We live in North Logan which forces me to commute five whole miles to Providence. Isn’t it great to live in Cache Valley?

I season my life with many hobbies and interests. But my strongest passion is hunting. I picked it up later in life but have definitely made up for lost time. In the past ten years I have traveled throughout the States, Canada and Africa, most often with bow and arrow. My office is ornamented with my trophies (primarily because Tiffany will not let me keep them at the house.)

If you have a few hours you want to kill, give me a call and we can chat about the wild skies of Africa. Or better yet, if you want to check out my portfolio and see pictures, come in to the office.

Tiffany is a saint for letting me hunt as much as I do. It’s part of our arrangement that I can hunt as long as I stay away from motorcycles and not hang anything dead on the walls of our home. Not a bad deal.

Apart from hunting, as a family we hike, backpack, ski, travel, watch soccer games, cheer for the Aggies, and memorize lines from Bandito Rides Again (see Pickleville Playhouse). Then there are the regular pilgrimages to Disneyland.

As promised here are some legal credentials. They help define where I have been and who I am.
